The Mission of Christian Education in Liberia is To Provide a Christ-centered Education to the Children of Liberia and Offer Hope for their Future.

Gifts of Hope School celebrated its grand-opening for Preschool through 3rd grade on September 8, 2018. GOH was established by Harry Gorwor and is supported by Christian Education in Liberia (CEL). In this third world country, education is not a right but rather a privilege for those who can afford it. GOH is reaching out to children in the surrounding rural areas who would otherwise not have a chance to attend school, learn to read and write or in some cases, experience Christ’s love.
An average teacher salary in Liberia is only $200 per month, but this amount is a burden on schools as most families cannot afford even basic tuition. At GOH, we have determined that by supporting teachers both financially and with continued education classes taught by Calvin University professors, we are able to provide a quality Christian education to students who would otherwise not be able to afford it. Without your support, GOH cannot continue to minister to the children living in the Kakata region.
